Can you get rid of toenail fungus without prescription stuff or Vicks Vaporub?

You can use either Grapefruit Seed Extract (GSE) or Tea Tree Oil. They have exactly the same effect.

For nail fungus you need to do the following:

- File the affected nail(s) as close as possible to the skin without discomfort, to remove as much as possible of the fungus. Do this over a newspaper and throw away in the trash afterwards. If using a metal nail file, disinfect it afterwards. This is important, otherwise you'll contaminate other nails. If using a cardboard nail file, throw it away after use.

- Put undiluted Tea Tree Oil or GSE on the nail morning and evening.

- Repeat the nail filing every 3 or 4 days and later every 3 to 4 weeks.

- Important! Continue this treatment morning and evening for 4 or 5 months to avoid relapses.

All the best!

not easily

Once it is in the toenail, it is pretty difficult to eradicate without prescription antifungals.

Vick Vaporub is just petroleum jelly and medicinal effects on fungus

Tea tree oil is supposed to have antifungal and antiseptic properties. There is actually very little research available on tea tree oil, so much of the info about it is anecdotal or traditional. Here is an unbiased link.鈥?/a>

And this is a pretty good wiki article on toenail fungus as well鈥?/a>

Whatever you use...prescription or otherwise, the treatment will take months, as you have to keep treating until the new uninfected nail grows in.Can you get rid of toenail fungus without prescription stuff or Vicks Vaporub?
I've tried Tea Tree Oil. It may take a month or two, but it has done the trick with my toes. GNC(Tea Tree nail saver) carries it, it's a small bottle with a small brush in it. It looks like a nail polish bottle. Apply it in the morning %26amp; evening before you go to bed(put cotton socks on feet) so as not to mess up your sheets. You might want to soak your feet in warm water along with a couple drops of Tea Tree oil in the water. Very soothing :) Good Luck!
You could try 50% white distilled vinegar and 50% pure water and soak your nails for 10 to 20 minutes daily...

Still problems, see the doctor.
Try soaking in apple cider vinegar. It's a natural fungicide. I've never used it for toenail fungus, but it works great on athletes foot.
tea tree oil or an OTC anti-fungal cream should do just fine. vicks vapor rub my feel nice/interesting, but won't have an effect on the fungus.
