Toenail fungus: do I have to get new shoes?

I am starting treatment for nail fungus. Do I have to throw away my shoes? Or is there some kind of anti-fungus powder I can sprinkle on/in them?

Rubbing tea tree oil on the inside and then leaving them out in the heat is supposed to be helpful.





Tea tree oil in general is supposed to be helpful in the treatment of toe nail fungus.
